[Kristen's back in her room but now she's a lot happier since besides proper clothes she's employed.]

I'm actually happy to report I've sought and gained proper employment outside HQ! I'm working as a civilian with the NYPD in the file room and get a unit assignment in about 3 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for homicide since it was also my home unit in Gotham.

Right now its about the small victories and this one is mine.

I still don't get why you want to work for the police but good job. Oh! I know we're under ground but it's technically summer.

[He had problems with the police once, just because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.]

I am but as a civilian.

And homicide is the unit I was with at home, nice to have at least one thing be the same.

Its just what I know Hanna, figured if one thing can be the same then all the better.

What's so bad about looking like a librarian? I just like the look of the period.

It must be nice to be able to do what you did back home, or at least be able to do eventually? Especially if it helps so many people?

I'll eventually be with a unit but just being in the file room again is great, knowing I'm a part of things no matter how small.

Still it's amazing. I got a job working in the cafeteria. it's not much but what I would normall do doesn't apply in this world.

That's true. What exactly do you do? I'm looking for a job but considering my skill set I'll probably have to work here... if only I could get paid to go shopping. [That's like Hanna's dream job.]

Well it's summer for one and it isn't very cute. It's boring.

[She doesn't mean anything bad by it but it's hard to come across any other way.]

I'm a file clerk and archivist so behind the scenes. And you never know, I mean the larger department stores may need personal shoppers?

Personal shoppers? Sounds like a dream job though I doubt they pay a lot but then if I work at a place like White House, Black Market I might be able to get discounts.

[She'd have to resist the urge to steal.]

For clothes? Maybe a cute light blouse instead of all those layers?

Let's just say, I'd be out in the field more often than being in the cafeteria. Except to eat.

There is a huge different between fighting and cleaning.

Only problem is the AC units have a bad habit of being cranked sky high so options to replace my cardigan?
