ARRIVAL LOG - First Wave
![]() |
| Who; EVERYONE! What; The new residents of HQ make their arrival! Where; All unrestricted areas of HQ (and maybe some restricted areas, you naughty people) When; July 24th, Mid-morning on Warnings; None as of yet, can be changed if content changes Maybe you were showering, or sleeping, having breakfast. You might have been participating in your morning commute or fighting off a horde of zombies. Whatever you were in the middle of, a strange sensation of disconnection comes over you, as though you're watching your life on screen, a passive audience to the proceedings. It's almost like, well, being sucked down the drain like every adolescent nightmare, the feeling of disconnection replaced quickly with a pain so deep, it's as though every atom of your being is pressed too closely together, and your vision goes dark. Then, just as quickly as the pain came over it, it's gone, reality snapping back into place like a stretched rubber band. When your eyes adjust, you find yourself in a slightly spartan room, standing on a platform that seems to be made of glass or some sort of crystal. Energy currents in blues and greens swirl within it, dizzying and hypnotizing if stared at for too long. You're shocked from the vision by a cheery, bubbly voice that belongs to a petite brunette grinning at you from the base of the steps that lead down from the platform. She apologizes for any inconvenience you may have been caused, and hands you a small package, explaining that inside you'll find a phone, a directory of locations within the complex you've arrived in, a charge card with a balance of $500, and a key to a room in the dormitories which can be reached by following the green line on your directory. She apologizes again for how confusing this must all be, but assures you that everything will make sense soon! OOC NOTES: Feel free to hit up any of the NPC starters, start your own threads under any of the locations provided, or start your own threads independent of the starters! Prose or brackets are welcomed! Once characters leave the Receiving Room, they will have full access to the Network, and you're free to post there as well! |

Forest
Pulse grinned, eyes dancing with amusement.
Forest
"Thank you."
Forest
"You're welcome." He looked around. "I like the forest. It always reminds me of where I come from."
Forest
Elena looked around when he did, a wistful expression pulling across her lips. "It's a little small."
Forest
He grinned at her admission. "Yes, well, we are inside. I'm sure we'll eventually get to go outside again, or we'll find our way out on our own." He said it matter-of-factly. He didn't intend to be trapped anywhere.
Forest
"I wonder if outside is similar to in here. I've been to New York state but never the city. This room..." She tilted her head to the side. "It's like a warehouse." It was strange to see the forest here.
Re: Forest
"It is, but storing a forest instead of boxes."
Forest
He's at least safe.
"Do you know how they got it in here? The forest."
Re: Forest
He shook his head. "It had to be a lot of hard work."
Forest
It was subtle but she could feel it, smell it. "It's hard to believe they really got this down here by moving it." Her thin fingers lightly run down the bark of the trees she's standing next too.
"I'd sooner believe magic."
Re: Forest
"Did they have a lot of magic on your Earth?"
Forest
Her life was far more complicated than that.
"What about you? Mr. Pulse"
Forest
"There's Magic, and superhumans, and mutants, monsters and aliens, and supernatural beings, and a lot more. It's an odd world. And please, just call me Pulse." He smiled a little hopefully.
Forest
"Your home sounds far more fantastic than mine. I wonder if it's anything like this place?" Bringing people from all over here... something must be happening. Perhaps it's as fantastic as Pulse's world.
Re: Forest
"I don't know. I'm looking forward to finding out. Exploring the world, learning the ropes, playing same games, having adventures." He winked at her.
Forest
Elena's become a pessimist over time. "Don't let me ruin your fun."
Forest
Pulse grinned. "Ah, but maybe you trying to ruin my fun would be the fun I am most looking forward to."
Forest
"We'll see how much fun I am then." Another small slip of a smile passed over her lips as she turned to leave. "There is more to see."
Elena paused and looked back at him. "But I think we'll see each other again soon."
Forest
He smirked as he watched, and nodded to her, eyes dancing, then turned to go himself, enjoying the air, the feel of the area, and the ideas she had ignited.
