And there's a storm you're starting now... [OPEN]
Who; Rogue (from the movieverse) and YOU!
What; After hiding out for a few days after the Big Important Meeting, Rogue's out wandering. Come meet her or catch up?
Where; Various locations
When; August 5th - 10th
Warnings; Mentions of imprisonment and torture, but nothing graphic. Will update as needed.
Being stuck underground was starting to take its toll on Rogue. It wasn't quite as bad when she was out and about, like in the cafeteria for her sorry excuse for meals, but when she was in her room... It was too much like being in the lab, where there had been no windows and nothing personal to remind her that she was still a human being.
With each night that passed, her nightmares grew worse and she found herself spending more time just walking around HQ, settling in one place for a few hours before moving to another. Being around people helped sometimes, but nighttime was the worst, when everyone seemed to settle and there was no one left to remind her that this world was still alive.
OOC; Starter posts/locations in the comments. Feel free to propose others, Rogue will be doing quite a bit of wandering.

Rogue's tone softened a little bit, becoming more gentle. She was one edge and there was no doubt in her heart and mind that the other her was as well. It was awkward at best and while she wanted to throw a fit she knew that it wouldn't do either of them a lick of good. She had taken the time to have this conversation for a reason and she didn't want to lose that now.
Her whole life seemed to be about control now.
"This world probably has it's own problems and for now I'd like to deal with my own." Not to say it's in Rogue to sit around and do nothing should the situation come up. For now it's peaceful and she'll enjoy what little peace she's given.

"I arrived at Charles Xavier's school when I was seventeen," she started, figuring the basics were a good place to begin. "My adoptive parents didn't want a mutant in the family, so I left. I wasn't there more than a few days before I was kidnapped by Magneto - he made me absorb him so I could power a machine that was meant to change baseline humans into mutants. The X-Men stopped him, but I'd have died if it hadn't been for Logan saving me with his healing."
It was an event that had shaped her entire life from that point onward. She didn't say anything about the comment on the problems of this world; nothing needed to be said when she understood completely.

It felt right.
"I was thirteen when I ran away, papa didn't want a mutant in the family." It felt like some sort of sick joke when she repeated the similarity. "I found someone who was willing to take care of me and teach me..." Her voice trailed off and her brows furrowed. "She taught me how to use my powers." There are parts of her life that Rogue wasn't proud of and the Brotherhood of Mutants was one of them. She had trusted the wrong people and got hurt because of it.
"When we fought Ms.Marvel I-" She paused, biting her lower lip. It was difficult to admit. "I killed her." She wouldn't tell anyone else this but Rogue was... it was still her wasn't it? "That’s when I met Professor Xavier. He helped me and I've been with the X-Men since."
That was the short version.
