[Steve had arrived in this strange place about a week ago, and he still didn't have a clue what was going on. The last thing that he remembered was watching Bucky go back in the ice. It was the only way that Steve could think about it honestly.

His thoughts also wandered to Tony and all of the people he left behind.... to Peggy.... God he had screwed the pooch so badly. He was pleased that the place at least was familiar, if not why he was there.

He sat on a bench in Central Park, lightly tapping his hand on his knee]


Look I know you said I was the strongest person you know, but I don't know about this....

[Elena is heading back from a gallery visit when she spots the familiar looking man sitting on a bench in the park. She doesn't know him very well but HQ is small and it's easy to recognize a face.

After a short detour she steps up to the stranger holding out a steaming cup of tea for him to take. She always prefered tea over coffee and she has a similar cup in her own hand for herself.]

Here. [She had heard him talking but she doesn't feel right commenting. That and Elena has a lot of practice appearing to be normal.] You look like you have a lot on your mind.

[Tony was feeling a little at loose ends since arriving here. He was attempting to repair his armor, but every time he tried he'd flash back and remember why it was such a mess. He finally gave up and decided to go for a walk.

But fate had clearly made it her mission to fuck with him. He froze as he saw Steve and he was unable to stop the rage that bubbled up and he was stalking over to swing a punch at the perfect face of Steve Rogers]

You can't leave me alone for five fucking minutes can you? No you can't. You won why the hell can't you just walk away.

[Steve jolted out of his trance-like state at Tony's screaming. His eyes snapped up to the man's face. A man that haunted his dreams. It wasn't his fault this time. ]


You think I won? You are so single-minded sometimes. I lost my best friend Tony, I'm a fugitive, my moral compass died, and I went batshit crazy for too long. It's a public park where ever the hell we are?

You left me to die Rogers. You broke the one thing that made my suit fly and walked away. Ross didn't know where I was, Vision didn't know where I was. Hell if the shards were still in my heart I wouldn't be here at all. I would be dead before you finished leaving me behind and that was on you not Barnes you. You could have pulled your punch and you didn't.

[Tony is shaking but he needs to say this public place or not.]

My best friend is broken in half, my girlfriend left me, the one man I trusted LIED TO ME. for two dammed years about one of the most important things in my life and then walked away taking my parents murderer with him. I think I came off a alot worse then you in this fight I wasn't angry because of what Barnes did...I was angry because you KNEW and decided poor broken Tony couldn't handle himself so you kept the truth from me.

So stop your personal pity party for one dammed second and see this from my point of view before you assume you aren't in the wrong here, because we both are.
