[Slowly but surely Kristen had been having more good days lately. Working was helping since going to the station means routine and escaping HQ at least for a few hours. She was also trying to be less prim and proper, that was a work in progress.
But that was when disaster struck, smoke filed the hallway she was in as the sound of bullets and screaming seemed to envelop the redhead. She was also sure she had seen Nygma for a split second ducking into a wall space.
That was when the body hit the desk and she just froze in place. But a few second later she was skidding across the hallway as she was pushed out of the path of bullets, even now she has no idea who did it.]
