ARRIVAL LOG - First Wave
![]() |
| Who; EVERYONE! What; The new residents of HQ make their arrival! Where; All unrestricted areas of HQ (and maybe some restricted areas, you naughty people) When; July 24th, Mid-morning on Warnings; None as of yet, can be changed if content changes Maybe you were showering, or sleeping, having breakfast. You might have been participating in your morning commute or fighting off a horde of zombies. Whatever you were in the middle of, a strange sensation of disconnection comes over you, as though you're watching your life on screen, a passive audience to the proceedings. It's almost like, well, being sucked down the drain like every adolescent nightmare, the feeling of disconnection replaced quickly with a pain so deep, it's as though every atom of your being is pressed too closely together, and your vision goes dark. Then, just as quickly as the pain came over it, it's gone, reality snapping back into place like a stretched rubber band. When your eyes adjust, you find yourself in a slightly spartan room, standing on a platform that seems to be made of glass or some sort of crystal. Energy currents in blues and greens swirl within it, dizzying and hypnotizing if stared at for too long. You're shocked from the vision by a cheery, bubbly voice that belongs to a petite brunette grinning at you from the base of the steps that lead down from the platform. She apologizes for any inconvenience you may have been caused, and hands you a small package, explaining that inside you'll find a phone, a directory of locations within the complex you've arrived in, a charge card with a balance of $500, and a key to a room in the dormitories which can be reached by following the green line on your directory. She apologizes again for how confusing this must all be, but assures you that everything will make sense soon! OOC NOTES: Feel free to hit up any of the NPC starters, start your own threads under any of the locations provided, or start your own threads independent of the starters! Prose or brackets are welcomed! Once characters leave the Receiving Room, they will have full access to the Network, and you're free to post there as well! |

Elena Micheals | OPEN
The wide range of new smells slammed against her senses and brought her quickly to her feet. She glared at the brown haired stranger and at anyone else around her. She didn't like the idea of suddenly being brought to a strange place, let alone caged. Her shoulders were tense and her thoughts drifted back to Stonehaven. It wasn't her concern, she shouldn't be worried; that's what she's going to keep telling herself.
She took the phone before turning and leaving the room. The stranger assured that things were okay but she was going to asses that herself.
FOREST
When Elena read the map she had been skeptical however the scent drifting through the halls washed away any doubt. She turned towards the door leading into the forest picking up the rich scents of the earth and wind trapped within the enclosed room. It was strange and definitely something she'd check out.
There were strange, new, smells and they demanded her attention.
The need to shift rose but she pushed it back. She was skilled at pushing unpleasant things away.
MOON DORMS
"Is that suppose to be ironic?"
Elena can be spotted just outside the dorms. Her crystal blue eyes studied the sign while her fingers lightly fiddle with pendant around her neck. Just another thing to hide from those around her. She'd have to find a place to shift, a safe place to run. The longest she's held out was a month and Logan had scolded her for it.
She turned and stepped inside to inspect her new living space. She wasn't happy about it but brooding wasn't going to help.
MOON DORMS
"Ironic, eh? Why, 'cause we just gonna sleep here, or somethin' more specific?"
MOON DORMS
"More specific but it's a private joke."
Her bright blue eyes flick to the room across the hall. "Looks like we're roommate."
MOON DORMS
"D'accord*, mon chere. I've had worse roommates." He moves closer, offering a hand. "Remy leBeau. Enchante."
(*means "okay" or "fair enough")
MOON DORMS
"I've had worse roommates too." Something they have in common. "Elena Micheals." She took his hand, thin but strong fingers fitting within his large palm.
"It's nice to meet you."
MOON DORMS
"The pleasure's mine, chere. And I feel right blessed for it." He continues to smile, leaning forward conspiratorially. "I happen ta like jokes. Mind sharin'?"
MOON DORMS
"Not a joke, just a thought." Elena had travels around a lot and she thought that she knew his accent but it was better to ask. "Where are you from?"
Besides obviously south.
MOON DORMS
"'Nawlins." New Orleans, if you could make it through his accent. "What about you, chere?"
MOON DORMS
This man was interesting in a way that she couldn't put her finger on. She liked watching him and the drawl to his words was charming, familiar even.
"You're taking this well. I take it this isn't the first time you've woken up in a strange place?" Her tone and demeanor was taking the change surprisingly well too though she was more interested in him than divulging things about herself.

Forest
He smirked as he came through some trees and found the woman. "Hello, beautiful stranger."
Forest
"Are you from here?"
Golden waves of hair fall over her shoulder as she inspects the man. "I'm Elena." Not that beautiful stranger didn't have a nice ring to it.
Forest
"I'm Pulse. A pleasure to meet you, Elena." He swept her a bow, rising to the tips of his toes, one foot sliding forward ahead of the other. When he wanted to, Pulse moved with a nearly inhuman grace. That was what happened when you were a thief from birth.
Forest
"Pulse? I take it that isn't your legal name." She wasn't impressed.
Forest
His grin slid to a smirk. "Why do you ask, beautiful stranger?"
Forest
"Just curious. I wonder why you'd pick it." There was certainly a story there.
Forest
Pulse grinned, eyes dancing with amusement.
Forest
"Thank you."

However, he was always good at keeping it hidden should he need to and just hide behind a smile, but he figured he might as well do something if he couldn't just keep going forward. So he did the next best thing he could do.
Train. Although he was simply fighting with the air, he moved his arms in a punch like motion, moving from side to side for the time being as if he was actually in a fight. It was just better than nothing after all.

Elena's voice rang smoothly in the air. It was sweet and mature in its tone and genuinely curious. This was someone else's home, someone created this forest, she felt it in a way that wasn't easy to explain or understand but she felt like a guest here. The urge to run was stronger too as if this place tapped into something primal.

He had stopped for the moment, left hand moving behind his head, before he quickly realized that with his uniform in disarray and choose to instead hide his arm behind his back for the moment.

Elena was used to practicing grappling as well as other forms of combat. It was something that she did with her packmates and for a moment she feels the pang of loss in her chest. She'd been the one who chose to leave, there was no sense in missing them now.
"It is easier to improve when you had someone to fight against." She pointed this out but it was unclear if she was volunteering or not.

Will the Akuma and humanity actually be saved if he wasn't there? "makes it awkward to just simply ask anyone."
no subject
"I haven't felt awkward doing anything in a long time." It came with age and circumstance and Elena was used to a lot.
She flashed him a smile before running a palm along the hard bark.

"I don't know when I last felt awkward. I've... always known what to do and how to. Keep moving forward. But here... it's different. I can't keep moving forward or know the people here to ask to train because I know nothing." He rubbed the back of his head as he spoke.
"It's odd having to start at the beginning. I guess."
no subject
There was one person she'd miss here but that was okay. That feeling would most likely fade as well.
"At least you know how to start at the beginning." It was hardly a comforting thought but it was the best she could offer him. She wasn't the sort of person who put much faith in false promises or hopeful futures.
